An dram buidheach: Scots Gaelic for “the drink that satisfies”. 

I, Mike, am an American (Scottish maternal and paternal grandparents) with a love for Scotland, Scots, Doric, Lallans, the Scots, Gaelic, whisky, Scottish beer, cullen skink, porridge, tablet, and sticky toffee pudding.

What you will find here are anecdotes of what and why, frequently where, I drammed. I will also share anecdotes about uisge beatha that I did not try, and why; usually because it was too spendy. What you won’t find here is 0-100 ratings of the dram. Others, such as Dave Broom, Jim Murray, and the late Michael Jackson (not the Prince of Pop) are much more capable than I, and there are literally dozens, if not hundreds, of books and websites that list ratings. I am confident that I cannot meaningfully add to, or improve, that impressive store of knowledge.
